Account Manager / Senior Account Manager (Health Comms)

We are looking for an energetic Account Manager / Senior Account Manager with a passion for healthcare communications to join our industry-leading health practice recently awarded Communique Public Affairs and Policy Consultancy of the Year 2025.

This position is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring health communications professional keen to take their career to the next level. You’ll play a central part in our growing team, shaping and implementing creative and thought-provoking campaigns across a range of interesting disease areas and important healthcare issues. You’ll work directly with our clients in life sciences, medtech and the charity sector at a UK and global level to make change happen. We’re looking for someone with good health landscape knowledge, problem-solving abilities and excellent communications skills. Key to the role is the ability to manage and drive communications and engagement programmes that reach a wide range of influential stakeholders, including the media, patients, the public, patient groups, policymakers and healthcare professionals.

  • Reports to: Associate Director
  • Location: WA hybrid working – Central London office / working from home

Role Specification & Responsibilities

You’ll most likely have an agency background and / or can demonstrate expertise in health communications in the life sciences sector. Qualities and skills we value for this role include:

  • Track-record of delivering health focused campaigns, across multiple channels, reaching a range of target audiences to effect change
  • First-hand experience of media engagement and developing relevant media content, messaging and materials to support it
  • Ability to analyse, summarise and communicate complex policy, regulatory and commercial issues in a simple, clear and compelling way
  • Planning and managing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard
  • Keen interest in health policy, media and regulatory and data processes for treatment launches
  • A dynamic, engaging and adaptable writing style
  • A client-centric attitude that prizes accessibility, responsiveness and outcomes
  • Strong interpersonal, networking and team-working skills with colleagues and, importantly, with peers and stakeholders vital to the delivery of our work
  • Desire to build on your strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Naturally inquisitive and curious, eager to learn, develop and grow
